Diamond Engagement Rings Styles: All Gorgeous

A solitaire diamond engagement ring is one of the most stunning pieces of jewelry you will ever see. Not only does this ring possess the simple beauty anyone can appreciate, it is also a classic symbol of love and affection. Giving engagement rings is not something you do as a hobby. It should be taken very seriously and should never be rushed. Without love, where would we all be?

A vintage diamond engagement ring is also stunning, but is a completely different style of jewelry all together. These rings are not simple at all. They are complex and creative works of art that not every lady will appreciate. They are very “busy” and simply by looking at the ring, you can tell a very experienced craftsman took a lot of time fabricating this special ring. This style of ring often includes a halo of accent diamond around the center stone and this allows for quite the spectacle when it comes to first glances and long stares. The accent diamonds really make the center stone pop and certainly add to the overall bling factor of the piece.

Diamond engagement rings are all very different which is a good thing considering there are so many different kinds of ladies in the world.

Diamond Engagement Rings and Social Media

There are few things in life you will be more excited about than your diamond engagement ring! This is probably the most epic piece of jewelry you have ever received and it certainly has more emotional significance than most other pieces of jewelry you have been given in the past. Women cherish these engagement rings and they should be taken care of accordingly.

The first thing you want to do when you get your diamond engagement ring is get it insured! Instead of spending hours trying to get that perfect picture of it to post on Facebook, call your insurance company and get it insured. You never know what can happen and you certainly want to be covered in case something dreadful happens or someone steals it.

When it comes to posting pictures of your diamond engagement ring on social media, keep it classy, folks. There is no reason to share how many carats the diamond is or how much he paid for it. This is tacky and comes off as bragging. Good for you, congratulations and everything else, but posting details of your ring could make other people feel bad about their own rings. It is better for them to see it in person when you bump into them at the grocery store anyway!

Engagement Rings: Get What You Want, Ladies

There are many styles of engagement rings women find attractive. Some women like round cut stones while other women prefer emerald cut. One lady loves yellow gold while the next cannot stand yellow gold and demands platinum! With so many options readily available, women can virtually choose their entire ring from the ground up. The trick is to help get your man on the same page as you are. Here's the trick:

Before you go any further, you must make sure your jeweler is on board with this process because it is a lengthy one. This plan begins long before you think your boyfriend is going to propose. You must casually mention your favorite jewelry store a lot. You make sure and point it out when you drive by it together and mention how you need to get your class ring cleaned or sized soon. Eventually, when you mention you have been to the jewelry store, he will immediately get a visual of the store and it will feel comfortable and familiar to him. This is necessary for when he gets the idea himself to go look at engagement rings. He will automatically drive to your favorite store without any thought about it. That is the crucial part. Meanwhile, you have given your jeweler and the entire staff the features and options you must have in your ring. The staff will do their best to steer him in the right direction for your diamond engagement ring when he goes to buy it.

What Men Need to Know About Engagement Rings

When it comes to choosing a single ring from a large selection of engagement rings, it can be overwhelming if you know nothing about diamonds. Yes, it is a lot of information to learn at once, but it is a must if you want to make sure you get a great deal and also get something she will love as long as you love her! You will need to know the four Cs of diamonds and also, which store has the best sales. The selection of diamond engagement rings at your local jewelry stores will all be pretty much the same unless you are going with a custom ring. A custom ring will never be in the display case because it cannot be replicated.

Engagement rings come in all sizes, shapes and budgets. It does not matter if you only have a few hundred bucks to spend on this purchase. If she truly loves you, she will like anything you give her because she will get the true prize: You! Diamonds: Various Styles of Engagement Rings

Solitaire diamond engagement rings are certainly one of the most popular styles on the market today. There is no doubt these rings are stunning. A single, often large, stone is set into a plain band and that is it! Of course, there are hundreds of variations on this particular style, but you can easily tweak anything to create the engagement ring of your dreams.

Vintage engagement rings are also very popular. Anything that was popular in the distant past is slowly making a comeback now. Vintage rings are very ornate. At first glance, they look like they should be worn by royalty. There are so many intricate designs on the band that it gives the ring a busy look. Also, vintage rings often have a halo of diamonds around the center stone. This serves to accent the center stone and make it shine with wonder!
Three stone engagement rings are also very gorgeous. If you want someone to notice your ring from across the room, this is the ring for you. Three stone rings are exactly what they sound like: three stones in place of the typical center stone. The middle of the three stones will be the largest usually while the side stones will be just a hair smaller.

Engagement Rings and Proposal Locations Are Sacred

The day a woman receives an engagement ring from the love of her life is arguably the most memorable day of her entire life. Unless she already has children or has been married before, this precise moment in time will be the culmination of a lifetime of searching for Mister Right and planning your dream wedding.

When you are first engaged, time will stand still. The exact moment he is down on one knee asking you to be his wife will be forever embedded in your brain- even if you get divorced or he breaks your heart.  Not a day will go by when you do not think of that day, that moment, that man. There will not be a moment in your life when you do not know exactly where that engagement ring is which will trigger thoughts of the exact location where he asked you to be his wife. This place will forever be magical to you. Every time you think of that place or visit that place, you will be reminded of the manner in which he slid that diamond engagement ring on your finger and your life truly began. You have come so far since that special day.

Engagement Rings and When You Should Shop For Them

When do you know it is time to shop for engagement rings? There is no universal sign for this. It all depends on your relationship and the rate at which it is progressing. Some couples get engaged after only dating a few months, while other couples date for years and years before taking the plunge into marriage.

There is so much to consider when interviewing a potential candidate for marriage. Of course, there has to be an initial spark of attraction. That is what gets two people interested in one another. After the initial spark, you will talk further and see if you have anything in common. Usually couples who end up getting married have a lot of common interests. This is how the ball gets rolling in the direction of marriage.

Although your engagement ring will be the symbol of his promise to marry you, this diamond engagement ring is not the only piece of jewelry he will ever give you. There will be your wedding rings and also the many gifts he showers you with over the years of your relationship. If you do it right, you should end up with a healthy and happy marriage where you shower one another with many gifts over the years.

Various Styles of Engagement Rings From Which to Choose

There are many different styles of engagement rings on the market today. With every new year comes new trends and styles women find attractive. However, whatever style you like is all a matter of personal preference. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to the type of jewelry you will wear for the rest of your life.

Solitaire diamond engagement rings have long been popular due to their clean lines and elegance.  There is just something about having one single stone on a plain band that exudes decadence. Sometimes less is more!

Vintage rings are also popular. These rings remind you of times past, and are very beautiful, too. These engagement rings often have halos around the center stone or stones. This adds to their luster. Their bands are usually very intricately designed with lots of detail and tedious designs. You can tell by looking at one that the craftsman is very talented at what he or she does!

There are also three stone rings that have not one, not two, but three center stones! This allows you to have a very splendid display of diamonds to serve as a beacon to the entire world that you are off the market.

Diamond Engagement Rings: Stressing Out

There is certainly an array of choices for couples to pick from when looking for diamond engagement rings. The shimmering inventory of choices can often be overwhelming when you are looking to take the plunge. After all, isn't it stressful enough just wondering if she is actually going to say, yes? Here are three ways to bring that stress level down to a dull roar and walk away with the perfect ring.

Engagement rings are the mainstay of the fine jewelry market. You can only pick one of those glistening designer gems from the vast array of inventory. It's no wonder your blood pressure begins to go up at the thought of shopping! It's a big decision and you need something extra special to convey that statement. However, before you begin looking at rings, look at your bank statement. A large part of ring shopping anxiety is the expense. One way to avoid stress is to sent a real budget and try not to look at rings that are out of that range.  Secondly, if you are thinking of using a financing plan, make certain that you already have at least 50-75% of the purchase price. It's much easier to pay off a small portion and some interest than the whole ring on credit.

The last way in which to avoid stress is to involve your partner in selecting a ring. To be honest, you can't stress about if she's going to like it or if it's the perfect ring, if she picked it out herself! Ask for advise! Ask for examples and find rings that are in your price range. Shopping for engagement rings does not have to be a time of stress and anxiety if you take it one step at a time.

Diamond Engagement Rings: A Dark History

With today's progressive stance on gender equality, it's hard to imagine a time when women were considered more-so property than a person. That is why diamond engagement rings were popularized. They represented a form of insurance for the women, if their fiancé ditched them before the wedding, the woman at least had the engagement ring as compensation. Also, because it was customary for the woman to keep the ring, it served as motivation for the man to stick around or he'd lose that particular investment.

Times were different back then. Premarital sex was a major taboo and a woman's virginity carried a premium value. All too often though, an engaged couple would do the deed before the "big day," an act that isn't uncommon today. If the couple's engagement didn't work out, the man walked free and clear, but the woman was considered "damaged goods." There was even a span of time that women could take legal action against a man that did this. It offset the possibility that the woman couldn't find another man that would want to marry, "damaged goods."

We have come a long way in a short time. I would hope that men and women alike now see diamond engagement rings a symbols of eternal love, and not an insurance policy.

Engagement Rings, for All Ages

My mother has a tiny little ring that her mother bought for her when she was just a baby. Tradition of old, was to give a baby a gold ring to signify the never ending love felt for the child by the parents.  I have friends who have continued the practice with their children.  Rings are a part of our lives from the very beginning and mark special moments as we grow to maturity.

Jewelry has always been the perfect symbol for many different things, engagement rings in particular.  When we graduate from high school, we get a class ring and again if we achieve a college degree.  Best friends exchange friendship diamond rings and young, adolescent lovers commit themselves to one another with a promise ring or a tape wrapped class ring.  Rings are often given as gifts for life accomplishments such as a Super bowl win or an NCAA national championship. When we find the love of our lives, a ring is the symbol of the endless love we feel for one another.

Additionally, Antique rings are a symbol of power in some instances.  If you recall Marlon Brando as the Godfather, his ring was kissed by all asking favors or paying their respects.  The same applies to the Pope himself.  The ring worn by this Catholic icon is a symbol of the holy deity and the power of the church. It is also traditionally kissed by Catholics as a sign of honor and respect for the man.

Rings are a part of our lives for our entire lives.  No other jewelry, throughout history has held more symbolism or meaning for the human soul.  The next time you would like to let someone know for any reason, that you love them, a meaningful ring will bring the sentiment full circle round.
